Community Learning Centre

Welcome to the CLC at LRHS!

A Community Learning Centre (CLC) provides a range of services and activities, often beyond the school day, to help meet the needs of learners, their families, and the wider community.

The CLC has been in operation since the Spring of 2008. Our goal is to work with local community partners to enhance services to the Anglophone community. Our primary areas of focus are education, health and social services and arts and culture.

CLC Evaluation Report 2013

In 2011, a three year evaluation of the CLC at LRHS concluded that its implementation was "at the beginning of the end." It may have been slow and steady but, two years later, we find the CLC as an active, contributing entity within both the high school and our feeder schools. Read the full report here.

Community Conversations Final Report

Throughout the months of November and December 2012, school boards and Community Learning Centres organized Community  Conversations, engaging stakeholders and community members in a dialogue on issues related to the CLC initiative. Our session was held on December 10th and was attended by members of our school community, our school board and the community at large. A report was compiled with data from all 28 sessions and is available in English and French.
